(The members requested two optional holes for the two toughest holes.) Rees Jones, the renowned golf architect, has blended oceanside with pristine forests, vast wetlands, majestic oaks and enough character for several courses. Since this club lies on an almost untouched barrier island, the availability of virginal forests and wetland has allowed the designer to carve out a memorable design. Every hole has been carefully selected to maximize the beauty of the setting. The course ambles from the Atlantic Ocean through sea forests and along wide vistas of salt march. The variety of the course is achieved through alternate tee and hole selection, accommodating every golfer’s game. |
